The Occitan Forum invites 250-word abstracts for a guaranteed panel titled « Poetry, Objects, and the ‘Material Turn’ in Occitan Literature and Song. » We welcome papers that discuss objects or the « material turn » in troubadour song and related traditions. Contributions might include everyday or luxury objects as poetic metaphors, including objects of desire, or approach the material world of the troubadours through a more socio-historical lens. The 2026 MLA Convention will be held in Toronto on January 8-11. Please send abstracts to María Sánchez-Reyes (maria.sanchez-reyes@csulb.edu) by March 15.
